Dreaming of Warmer Days: A Summer Family Shoot with Winnie & Baby William

December 09, 2025

As we settle into the colder months, I’ve found myself reminiscing about the warmth of summer light and the beautiful families I had the joy of photographing. One that has stayed close to my heart is this gorgeous in-home session with Louise, her newest little addition, William, and his proud big sister, Winnie.

This was their first shoot as a family of four, and being invited into their Hertfordshire home to capture these early moments felt truly special. The session flowed in that magical way only family shoots can, quiet, tender moments between feeds and cuddles intertwined with bursts of giggles, sibling silliness, and the unmistakable joy of a growing family.

Winnie stepped into her new role as big sister so beautifully. Watching her gently interact with baby William, full of curiosity and pride, was a privilege to photograph. There’s something incredibly powerful about capturing those very first signs of a sibling bond, the beginnings of a lifelong friendship that will only deepen as they grow.

The whole session felt wonderfully natural and unposed, just the four of them being themselves in the place they love most. These are the moments that matter, the soft snuggles, the sunlight drifting through the windows, the tiny hands, the family laughter. It’s sessions like this that remind me why I adore what I do.

Watching families change and evolve over the years is one of the greatest joys of my work, and I would be honoured to continue documenting their story.

Until our next shoot to capture the next stage, here’s a little glimpse of those warm summer days and the magic of a family welcoming their newest love.
