Let’s be honest, most people don’t love the idea of having their headshot taken.

If the words “stand there and smile” make you feel awkward, embarrassed, or a bit stiff, you’re definitely not alone. In fact, that’s exactly why I’ve shaped my headshot shoots to be as relaxed and simple as possible.

My approach to headshot photography is all about natural light, natural expressions, and making you feel comfortable. Wherever possible, I use natural light rather than heavy studio setups, keeping everything calm, flattering, and true to you.

There’s no pressure to “perform” in front of the camera. Instead, we’ll have a chat, keep things easy, and I’ll gently guide you throughout the shoot. You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands, that’s my job. I’ll help you find angles and expressions that look natural and confident, without feeling forced.

Headshot sessions with me are intentionally low-key. We keep things uncomplicated, move at your pace, and focus on capturing genuine expressions rather than perfection. That’s how the best headshots happen , when you’re comfortable enough to forget about the camera.

I’m a photographer covering Hertfordshire, as well as London, Essex, Bedfordshire, and Buckinghamshire, and I work with people from all backgrounds, not just those used to being photographed, without the awkwardness.
